Manchester Airport has launched a campaign which showcases the north’s most-loved attractions, high-flying businesses and world-famous institutions.
The ‘More than an Airport’ campaign features Algeos alongside people, businesses, tourist sites, charities and other organisations in a series of images displayed across the campus of the UK’s third largest gateway. The campaign, which celebrates the things that make the north a great place to live, visit and trade with, is set to be viewed by nearly 30m people using UK’s primary northern gateway.
Andrew Cowan, CEO of Manchester Airport said:
“We know Manchester Airport is the UK’s global gateway in the North, performing a vital role in driving international exports for businesses of all sizes across the region, as well as attracting visitors, students and investors to this great part of the world.
“What the creation of this campaign has done is enable us to fully understand the many ways in which the international connectivity we provide truly makes the North a great place to visit and do business with.
“We are also proud to be able to showcase the many community groups and organisations we support each year and promote businesses who are doing great things around the world through the eye-catching imagery.”
The campaign also celebrates the success of Manchester Airport, including figures such as that direct links to 35 of the UK’s top 50 export markets and that visitor attractions have enjoyed a 200 per cent surge in bookings since direct flights to China were launched in 2016.
It will also showcase the legacy the airport hopes its £1bn transformation will have, including connecting the north to key global hubs and job creation.
Algeos is one of the businesses to be featured in the campaign under the sub-theme banner ‘Deal Maker’ .
Jackie Fisher, CEO of Algeos, said:
“Exports are a significant part of our business selling into 65 countries with a network of over 45 overseas distributors and offices in Melbourne and Dubai. Having Manchester Airport down the road really does provide a gateway to the world for us.”
The Algeos campaign image is visible to thousands of passengers every day using terminal 2 (T2). Airlines operating from T2 include Qatar, TUI, Virgin Atlantic, Hainan Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Jet.com and more.
If you are passing through the Skylink between the station and T2 look out for us, take a selfie, share @algeos @manairport #Algeos #MoreThanMan.
