Website Accessibility & the European Accessibility Act

Website Accessibility & the European Accessibility Act

Join Alan Wallace, web accessibility and CRM solutions expert, to learn how you can prepare your website for accessibility requirements.

Businesses risk losing potential customers and revenue by neglecting accessibility. Your website is not just a digital presence but a vital gateway to information, services, and community engagement. Inaccessible sites exclude aging users and those with disabilities.

Moreover, many accessibility practices align with SEO best practices, helping to improve visibility and search engine rankings. Non-compliance with accessibility laws poses legal risks, including fines and reputational damage, as regulations continue to strengthen globally.

As the European Accessibility Act (EAA) 2025 approaches, businesses must prepare to meet these new standards to avoid penalties and enhance their brand reputation.

Acting now allows businesses to tap into a growing market, improve SEO, protect their reputation, and deliver a better user experience for all.

About the speaker

Alan Wallace

I’ve been a software engineer for nearly 20 years, working with major blue-chip companies including IKEA, IBM, Sony, and KPMG. Over the past decade, I’ve also spent significant time in the healthcare and disability sector, which has deeply influenced my perspective on inclusive design. For the last three years, I’ve focused specifically on digital accessibility—ensuring that web experiences are usable and inclusive for everyone, regardless of ability. I’m really looking forward to sharing insights, challenges, and practical approaches to building accessible digital experiences in our upcoming session.
