Etac R82, the respected specialist in assistive equipment for disabled children and adults, will be presenting several examples from its award-winning product portfolio at the Royal College of Occupational Therapists Annual Conference and Exhibition.

RCOT, 17-18 June 2019, ICC Birmingham. #RCOT2019

RCOT is a leading CPD experience where cutting-edge research findings are delivered and practice excellence is shared. It celebrates the successes of occupational therapy and addresses the health and social care developments that will impact on the profession. Part of the event consists of a product showcase where the latest innovations in assistive equipment and services are demonstrated. In this arena and within the new demonstration zone, Etac R82 will be displaying its Molift Raiser Pro sit-to-stand transfer aid.

Etac R82 is a proven specialist in ergonomic products that assist carers and semi-ambulant users. Through advanced Scandinavian design, the equipment it manufactures promotes moving and handling best practice and safety for vulnerable individuals.

The recently launched Molift Raiser Pro will be on display at RCOT. It is the latest generation of the respected sit-to-stand Etac transfer solution which provides safe and active movement for disabled users. Considerately designed, the Raiser Pro has raised the bar in terms of active standing transfers within care homes, hospitals and domestic environments. It is championing earlier immobilisation, faster rehabilitation and greater engagement.

In terms of managing patients in bed more effectively, Immedia SatinSheets will be available for testing. This specialist sheet system reduces friction, lowers the risk of pressure sores and reduces back injuries for carers. Alongside the SatinSheets, the Immedia 4WayGlide will be available as an advanced in-bed sheet system to aid with moving severely immobile and bariatric patients.

Etac is also a respected specialist in seating solutions for postural control and pressure management. Sean Taylor, our new National Sales Manager for Mobility and Pressure Care will be demonstrating the Star range of air cell cushions.

Finally, RCOT will provide an opportunity to see Etac’s latest addition to its proven and trusted range – the new Swift Mobile Tilt 2. This shower chair encompasses advanced ergonomics for enhanced user comfort and safer working practices for carers. Its unique tilt in space functionality promotes greater engagement between user and carer whilst personal care is delivered more effectively. Available as either manual or power assisted, the three models in the Swift Mobile Tilt range provide an impressive 160kg SWL and high adjustability – to help ensure one chair accommodates most sizes user needs. The redesigned seat with larger rear opening ensures quality care and hygiene can be delivered effectively and with dignity.
