The term AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communications) refers to companies and stakeholders that provide services to help people to communicate as effectively as possible when speech is impaired. The term AAC cover s a wide range of techniques that support or replace spoken communication. Techniques include gestures, signing symbols,communication boards and books, as well as powered and computerised devices such as voice output communications aids. (VOCAs)
