The councils are seeking provision for minor adaptations that support timely hospital discharge, post-discharge recovery, falls prevention, and continued independence at home.

South Ribble Borough Council and Chorley Council have published an open procedure tender for the provision of minor aids and adaptations. The procurement will result in a separate contract for each contracting authority.

The contract covers Mid Lancashire, Chorley, and West Lancashire.

Scope

The specification covers minor adaptations, described in the notice as small-scale modifications made to a home. These adaptations are intended to help people remain safe and independent, while supporting discharge from hospital, recovery after discharge, and prevention of admissions to care homes and hospitals.

This tender is suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as other providers able to deliver minor aids, adaptations, and home modification services.

Evaluation

The evaluation weighting is quality 60 percent, commercial 25 percent, and social value 15 percent.
