New tender: Maintenance of community equipment across North Wales

BHTA members operating within the community equipment services (CES) space are invited to review a newly published tender opportunity for the maintenance of community equipment across North Wales.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, on behalf of Flintshire County Council, Wrexham County Borough Council, and Denbighshire County Council, is seeking a suitably qualified supplier to deliver repair, maintenance, and calibration services for community equipment.

Tender overview

The opportunity (Reference: BCU-FTS-60443) covers the service, maintenance and required calibration testing of community equipment. The contract includes both primary and secondary service elements.

Primary services required:

  • Call-out repair service for emergency breakdowns of community equipment
  • Maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Inspection, thorough examination, and testing certification

Secondary services (as required):

  • Equipment hire, including delivery, collection, assembly, and disassembly
  • Delivery, installation, or collection of equipment to or from patient or CES locations
  • Decontamination services in exceptional circumstances

The estimated contract value is £5,750,000 (excluding VAT).

The contract is expected to run from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2029, with the option of two 12-month extensions, potentially extending the term to 30 June 2030.
