Tender opportunity: NHS South Yorkshire ICB seeks community stoma care provider

BHTA members providing stoma care services and appliances are encouraged to review a new tender opportunity from NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) for a community-based stoma care service in Barnsley and Sheffield.

  • Duration: Two years from 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2028, with the option to extend for a further year

Scope

The service will cover clinical assessments and reviews, ongoing management of stoma-related conditions, and repeat prescription ordering and review. Where appropriate, it will also include prescribing stoma appliances.

It aims to reduce avoidable hospital use and support safe, effective, and cost-efficient prescribing.

Procurement rules

The contract will be awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The Procurement Act 2023 does not apply to this procurement.
