BHTA members involved in home adaptations, access solutions, bathroom adaptations, and independent living equipment are encouraged to review a new tender opportunity from the London Borough of Southwark.
The council is seeking separate contractors to deliver housing aids and adaptations across its housing stock. The contract is intended to support adaptations that help residents live more safely and independently at home.
The London Borough of Southwark intends to appoint contractors for three call-off contracts covering the north, middle, and south of the borough. This is a restricted procedure. The procurement is for works and will cover a range of housing aids and adaptations within council properties.
The works may include the installation of level access showers, wet rooms, thermostatic mixer taps, over-bath showers, and lever taps. The contract may also cover window, flooring, and door alterations, as well as concrete and portable ramps, half steps, galvanised rails, mop stick rails, kitchens, and specialist toilets.
This tender is suitable for contractors able to deliver housing adaptation works, bathroom adaptations, access improvements, and associated building completion or refurbishment works in council-owned housing.
Tenders must be submitted electronically via the London Construction Programme dynamic purchasing systems by 6 July 2026.
