Business Services Organisation Procurement and Logistics Service has published an open procedure tender notice under the Procurement Act 2023 for total bed management services across three trusts in Northern Ireland. The requirement covers hospital-bedding services and the provision of beds for medical use, hospital beds, mattresses, and pneumatic mattresses.
The opportunity is divided into three lots.
Lot 1 covers South Eastern HSCT, with an estimated value of £7,350,000 excluding VAT.
Lot 2 covers Southern HSCT, with an estimated value of £11,550,000 excluding VAT.
Lot 3 covers Belfast HSCT, with an estimated value of £21,000,000 excluding VAT.
The notice states that there is a right to additional purchases while the contract is valid; additional beds and mattresses may be added to the contract during the term. This tender is suitable for suppliers able to deliver total bed management services across multiple health and social care trusts.
Evaluation weighting is quality 70 percent and price 30 percent.
