New NHS tender opportunity for wheelchair service providers in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire

Overview

NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) has published a new tender opportunity inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver the North Nottinghamshire specialist wheelchair service for children, young people and adults.

This tender opportunity may be of particular interest to BHTA members working in the mobility, wheelchair, and seating equipment sectors, including those providing specialist clinical assessment, product supply, and aftercare services.

The contract, identified under Notice ID 2025/S 000-075332 and Procurement reference C402212, will be awarded through a competitive process under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) regulations, which govern the commissioning of healthcare services in England. The opportunity is open to providers with proven capability in delivering specialist wheelchair assessment, provision, and maintenance services for children and adults with complex mobility needs.

The contract covers delivery across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

  • Contract duration: Initial period of two years, with an option to extend for up to a further two years

    • Mid Nottinghamshire service – fully operational from 1 October 2026
    • Bassetlaw service – fully operational from 16 October 2026
