BHTA members involved in accessibility equipment servicing, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment are encouraged to review this new tender opportunity from Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) for lifting equipment across its housing stock.
NCHA is seeking an experienced and competent service provider to support the ongoing servicing, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of lifts and lifting equipment at properties it owns or manages. For BHTA members, the most relevant parts of the opportunity relate to stair lifts, through floor lifts, and hoists.
This is a conditions of participation stage for an upcoming tender for the servicing and maintenance of lifts. The opportunity is likely to be of particular interest to suppliers with expertise in domestic and accessibility-focused lifting equipment, especially where services support safe access and independent living in residential settings.
The contract covers properties in Nottingham and the wider East Midlands.
The procurement will use a competitive flexible procedure under the Procurement Act 2023. NCHA has stated that the contract is likely to be split on a 3+3+2 basis.

Sunderland City Council is seeking suppliers for the provision of stairlifts, hoists, and changing beds under lot 27 of a new four-year framework. The framework may also be used by Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Authority, although the contracting authority notes that no minimum volume of work is guaranteed.
The contract location is Sunderland. The framework is scheduled to run from 12 September 2026 to 11 September 2030.
