Tender opportunity: Wales & West Housing Group seeks stairlift suppliers

BHTA members involved in stairlifts, home access solutions, and lift maintenance services are encouraged to review a new open procedure tender from Wales & West Housing Group. The tender seeks suitably qualified suppliers to support the supply, installation, and maintenance of straight and curved stairlifts across its properties. The contract is split into regional lots across Wales.

Scope and lots

The requirement includes straight and curved stairlifts, alongside lift-maintenance services and repair and maintenance services for building installations. Suppliers may apply for one or more lots, and there is no limit on how many lots a bidder can apply for or be appointed to.

Lot 1 covers North Wales and has an estimated value of £240,000, excluding VAT. Lot 2 covers West Wales and has an estimated value of £200,000, excluding VAT. Lot 3 covers South Wales and has an estimated value of £800,000, excluding VAT.

This tender is suitable for SMEs and VCSEs, as well as larger suppliers, able to supply, install, maintain, and repair stairlifts in housing settings across Wales.

Evaluation

The tender will be evaluated on quality and price, with quality weighted at 50 percent and price weighted at 50 percent.
