BHTA members involved in home adaptations, accessible bathroom installations, minor aids, and repair services may wish to review this tender opportunity from Peterborough City Council.
Peterborough City Council is establishing an open framework to support elderly, vulnerable, and disabled residents to live independently, and remain warm and safe at home. The framework will support the council’s Home Service Delivery Care and Repair Team across the Peterborough area.
This opportunity covers adaptation and repair works in domestic properties, including extensions, internal alterations, level access showering facilities, and associated works, alongside the installation of minor aids and adaptations. The framework is intended to support responsive delivery, high quality workmanship, value for money, and prompt completion of works in occupied homes, with minimal disruption to residents.
The work will predominantly take place within the Peterborough City Council unitary authority area, mainly in the city and some surrounding areas.
The council states that some projects may be funded through Disabled Facility Grants. It also notes that some level access shower works may be funded through private means, charities, benevolent funds, adult social care, or children’s services.
This is an open framework established under the Procurement Act 2023. There is no limit to the number of suppliers that may be awarded a place, and awarded providers may be carried over into subsequent framework periods without needing to re-submit a bid.
This tender is suitable for SMEs, and for suitably qualified, experienced, competent, and knowledgeable contractors able to work in occupied domestic properties and meet requirements relating to professional registrations, qualifications, organisational processes, DBS checks, and compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022.
The award of an open framework contract is based on quality 100 percent.
