Tender opportunity: London Borough of Hillingdon seeks lift and hoist service providers

BHTA members involved in stairlifts, home lifts, wheelchair lifts, hoists, servicing, maintenance, and reactive repair services are encouraged to review this new tender opportunity from the London Borough of Hillingdon.

The council is seeking an experienced provider to service, maintain, and repair domestic lifts and hoists across its housing stock and other sites. The contract is intended to support compliance with relevant industry, manufacturer, and safety standards across a portfolio of around 450 assets.

Tender overview

The contract covers the servicing and maintenance of stairlifts, home lifts, including through-floor lifts, vertical lifts, and wheelchair lifts, as well as hoists. It also includes a planned servicing regime, reactive maintenance, repair and replacement, and small works projects up to an approved threshold value.

The requirement relates to Hillingdon Council housing stock clients and includes general needs housing, sheltered housing, supported housing, corporate sites, and private dwellings where required. The contract location is Harrow and Hillingdon.

This tender is suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as other providers, with the capability to deliver compliant servicing, maintenance, repair, replacement, and associated small works for domestic lifts and hoists.

Evaluation weighting: quality 50 percent, cost 50 percent.
