BHTA members involved in home adaptations, accessible housing, and mobility-focused refurbishment works are encouraged to review a new tender opportunity from Stroud District Council.
The tender covers the refurbishment and adaptation of a vacant council-owned bungalow in Gloucestershire. The project will convert the existing two-bedroom property into a one-bedroom accessible home designed to meet enhanced mobility requirements.
The tender will be evaluated on price 90 percent and social value 10 percent.
Tenders must be submitted electronically through the Supplying the South West portal.

BHTA members involved in accessible building adaptations, toilet refurbishments, and inclusive access works may wish to review this tender opportunity from Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council for internal alterations at Highfields Register Office in Sandwell. The works relate to the ground floor ceremonies toilets and include enlarging the wheelchair-accessible toilet, alongside updates to the existing male and female toilet areas.
This is a below-threshold open competition under the Procurement Act 2023. The opportunity may be of interest to SMEs, VCSEs, and other contractors with relevant experience in refurbishment and accessibility-focused building works.
