Tender opportunity: Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire councils seek provider for adaptation and repair services

BHTA members involved in home adaptations, independent living services, and related project management are encouraged to review a joint tender from Renfrewshire Council and East Renfrewshire Council for adaptation and small repair services.

One provider will be appointed to deliver all four contracts, and bidders must tender for all four.

Scope

Contracts 1 and 2 cover adaptation-related services for owner-occupiers and private landlord tenants in Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire respectively. The provider will advise on adaptations, support access to grant funding, identify vetted tradespeople, obtain estimates and organise works, support clients during delivery, and inspect completed work.

Contracts 3 and 4 cover small repair and handyperson services, including minor repairs, basic electrical and plumbing work, and safety and security tasks such as fitting key safes and smoke alarms.

The services support eligible older and disabled people, as well as parents or guardians of disabled people.

This tender is suitable for providers able to deliver the full range of adaptation, small repair, and handyperson services across both council areas, as bidders must tender for all four contracts.

Evaluation

Price is weighted at 55 percent for all four contracts. For contracts 1 to 3, quality accounts for the remaining 45 percent, covering areas including service provision, performance, mobilisation, Fair Work First, and community benefits.
