Wolverhampton City Council, with Wolverhampton Homes, is seeking suitably experienced contractors to support disabled residents to live more independently and safely at home.
This tender covers Disabled Facilities Grant-funded works to domestic properties across Wolverhampton. The requirement includes the full range of services under the contract, including internal adaptations, bathroom and level access shower works, internal reconfigurations, driveways and dropped kerbs, modular and fixed ramps, minor works, major Disabled Facilities Grant works and extensions, and other associated housing-related works as instructed by the council.
The tender is being run as an open procedure under the Procurement Act 2023. The council intends to award one contractor per lot, and the maximum number of lots a supplier can be awarded is one.
The contract is split into three geographic lots aligned to Home Improvement Agency operating areas and social care boundaries. Lot 1 covers the East HIA area, Lot 2 covers the West HIA area, and Lot 3 covers the North HIA area. Each lot covers the same specification, with an estimated value of £6,469,333.33 excluding VAT for Lots 1 and 2, and £6,469,333.34 excluding VAT for Lot 3.
This tender is suitable for SMEs and other experienced contractors able to deliver accessible bathroom, building alteration, plumbing, electrical, and external access works in domestic settings.
Evaluation weighting: Commercial price 50 percent, quality 40 percent, and social value 10 percent.
