BHTA members specialising in wound care, pressure management, or medical device supply may be interested in a new national tender opportunity issued by NHS Supply Chain for the provision of Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) equipment and consumables.
The framework, managed by Supply Chain Coordination Limited (SCCL), aims to establish a new route for the purchase and rental of NPWT pumps, accessories, and associated consumables used across acute and community healthcare settings. These products play a crucial role in supporting wound healing through controlled sub-atmospheric pressure, aiding recovery in patients with chronic and acute wounds.

The framework is divided into two lots:
- Lot 1: NPWT Pumps, Rental, and Pump Accessories (estimated value £62.2m excluding VAT)

The lot also enables the rental of NPWT pumps under direct free-on-loan agreements with NHS trusts, offering both large and portable devices to suit a variety of clinical settings.
- Lot 2: NPWT Consumables (estimated value £50.8m excluding VAT)
This lot focuses on consumable products used in conjunction with NPWT pumps, including dressings, tubing, canisters, and other single-use materials essential to therapy delivery. It also allows trusts to participate in purchase plans that provide NPWT devices on a free-on-loan basis, linked to agreed consumable purchase commitments.
Successful suppliers will provide equipment and consumables used in the delivery of negative pressure wound therapy in hospitals and community care. The opportunity is open to organisations of all sizes, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs), reflecting NHS Supply Chain’s commitment to inclusive participation across the healthcare supply sector.
