Etac R82, a respected specialist in assistive solutions for children and young adults with disabilities, will be demonstrating its proven equipment in a larger showcase at Kidz to Adultz up North – organised across two separate stands.

For over 40 years, the international Etac Group has provided a comprehensive range of quality products that assist with sitting, standing, walking, hoisting, toileting and bathing. In the UK, Etac R82, supplies the trusted Etac, R82, Molift, Convaid, Immedia and Star brands so young individuals benefit from greater independence, comfort and inclusion.
Stand B8 will feature paediatric products at Kidz North with a focus on the fully adjustable Wombat Solo activity chair for children. This adaptable product has the inbuilt capabilities to grow with a developing child, from toddler to young adult and facilitates independent operation by the user. Designing to support greater engagement, learning and fun, the Wombat Solo will be showcased alongside the Wombat Living chair which is ideal for users with more challenging needs. Leading examples from the rest of the R82 range will be demonstrated by the friendly on-stand team including the dynamic Meerkat stander, Crocodile walking aid, Mustang gait trainer, Kudu wheelchair and Convaid pushchairs.
On the other Etac R82 stand this year, B1, specialist advisors will be able to discuss potential transfer and hygiene solutions on a one-to-one basis with healthcare professionals and families. There will be a selection of products from the Molift hoisting portfolio including the portable Smart 150 and a Duo gantry overhead hoist system with a range of paediatric slings including an ambulating vest. Specific advice regarding hoisting and transfering of children will be available along with help with sit-to-stand transfers. Hands-on testing of the Molift Raiser Pro and Etac Turner Pro will be possible – both proven standing aids for safer movement of young people from chair, wheelchair, bed and toilet.
In terms of in-bed systems, Immedia 4WayGlide and SatinSheets will show how children and young adults can be moved more easily by carers so the risk of musculoskeletal injury is reduced. New for 2019, the Etac Swift Mobil 2 tilt shower/commode chair will also be available which provides an innovation level of support for users and accessibility for carers.
As ever alongside Etac R82’s impressive product display, there will be a collection of free educational material on each stand ranging from evidence-based customer stories through to CPD training workshop information.
