The estimated £3.7bn worth of essential products and services our members supply to NHS and social care settings are integral to the delivery of healthcare across the UK. Our members also provide important assistive and independent living technologies directly to consumers, helping to reduce the ever-growing pressures on public health and social care services.
These products and services are fundamental to the running of the NHS and social care systems and help transform the lives of millions worldwide.
Our membership comprises a wide variety of companies, ranging from sole traders to large multinationals, and is split into 12 Sections, covering different segments of the healthcare and assistive technologies industry:
Our members can choose to participate in any of the 12 Sections of the BHTA that are relevant to their business, with each Section chaired by an eminent member of the healthcare industry.
Each Section meets several times a year to discuss issues of importance to the sector, develop position papers and educational materials as appropriate, as well to formulate responses to external consultations.
By joining a Section, you will be able to directly affect policy through a collective voice that cannot be achieved individually in many instances.
Our membership is diverse and spans the wide spectrum of the healthcare and assistive technologies industry; however, all our members are connected by one fundamental desire: To ensure the industry is the best it can be, and that all those it touches receive the best service possible.
