Mark Baumann is the new Chair of Independent Living and Mobility Sections

The British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) has welcomed Mark Baumann, Head of Sales for NRS Healthcare’s Product Sales Division, as the new Chair for the Independent Living and Mobility Sections.

With over a quarter of a century of sales experience, Mark has held senior positions in a number of leading branded housewares companies and was an active committee member in that sector’s trade body.

New to the healthcare and assistive technology sector, having joined NRS Healthcare in mid-2020, Mark has now stepped forward to support the BHTA’s Independent Living Section as its new Chair. Additionally, Mark will also stand in as Chair of the Mobility section while a permanent Chair is appointed.

Mark Baumann, Head of Sales for NRS Healthcare’s Product Sales Division, commented:

“It is with immense pleasure that I have accepted the role of Chair for the Independent Living and Mobility Sections for the BHTA. My tenure in the healthcare industry is new, as I started my position with NRS Healthcare as Head of Sales Products Sales in May 2020. However, I come with a wealth of knowledge in a retail/supplier background, and sitting as a committee member on a previous association. Therefore, my intention is to look at this opportunity with fresh eyes, providing engaging and meaningful topics for discussion at section meetings.”

Dr Simon Festing, CEO of the British Healthcare Trades Association, commented:

“We are delighted that Mark Baumann has accepted the role of Chair for these Sections. We are sure his enthusiasm, experience and unique perspective will ensure members receive the best possible support from the BHTA as we move into a post-COVID world.”
