BHTA presents... webinar - 'Business sale bootcamp' with Mark Bentley, Jonathan Dunn, and Kenneth Munro PhD

The market for mergers & acquisitions (M&A) in the healthcare and assistive technologies sector is dynamic right now, with serial acquirers actively targeting smaller companies to access new skills, products and customers.

To keep members up to date, the British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) is hosting its fourth ‘BHTA presents’ webinar in February, providing companies with an overview of M&A activity in the healthcare trades industry, along with actionable advice on what to do if your business is on a buyer’s radar.

Taking place on the 22nd February 2022 at 11 am, the free one-hour webinar is entitled Business Sale Bootcamp: What to do if you’re approached by a buyer. The session will be held in partnership with BCMS, a specialist corporate finance advisor working exclusively with business owners and shareholders.

The webinar will discuss current trends in M&A activity in the sector, learnings from previous transactions, and offer advice on approaching the sales process itself. It will be delivered by Jonathan Dunn and Mark Bentley from BCMS, alongside special guest, Kenneth Munro PhD.

A former BCMS client, Kenneth Munro, formerly of W Munro Rehab, will share his first-hand insights into the personal aspects of a business sale. In particular, explaining what it really feels like to sell a company from the owner’s perspective.

The session will cover:

  • M&A transaction landscape: what’s happening in the sector and why
  • What makes an attractive business in the eyes of buyers
  • Advice on dealing with direct approaches from a potential acquirer
  • M&A basics – what’s involved in a business sale
  • Tips on succession planning and exit strategy

You will also have the opportunity to ask the expert panel your own questions as well.

Do not to miss this interesting and informative free session by registering today and be sure to share this with colleagues and peers who may benefit from attending.
