BHTA members supplying home adaptation products and assistive alarm systems are encouraged to review the Cirrus Consortium’s seven-lot materials supply framework, with relevant products included in three of its lots.
These include grab rails, ramps, door-widening hardware, accessible bathroom products, and assistive alarm components. The framework will support public sector customers, including social housing providers, local authorities, and NHS trusts, across England, Scotland, and Wales.
Coastline Housing is the principal contracting authority, with Cirrus Purchasing managing the procurement. The framework covers materials for property repairs, maintenance, and improvements, alongside managed supply services and tool and plant hire.
Three lots include products particularly relevant to BHTA members:
These products form part of broader materials supply lots. The consortium envisages appointing approximately seven suppliers to Lot 1 and 10 suppliers to each remaining lot.
All bidders must provide three contract examples and hold employers’ liability insurance of £5 million, public liability insurance of £10 million, and product liability insurance of £1 million. No minimum financial standing threshold applies.
Suppliers bidding for Lot 1, managed services, must offer a comprehensive range of materials covering Lots 2, 3, and 4, and demonstrate experience of at least two managed service contracts for contracting authorities within the last three years.
Tenders will be evaluated on quality, weighted at 80 percent, and cost, weighted at 20 percent.
Call-off contracts may be awarded directly or through mini-competition. The maximum fee charged to suppliers is 0.5 percent.
